Bio

Eddy fell in love with music while digging through his mother’s records as a child. It is still uncertain whether it was the album art or the ritual of pulling the record out and reading the liner notes while listening to the music that set this course. Either way, the end result has been performing, recording and songwriting throughout his adult life. His music resembles a melting pot of Bluegrass, Country, Blues and Soul that ends up in the camp of a little Rock n’ Roll.

Through years of meeting brilliant beats and artists of all ilk, music has been part of his journey. Pulling from an eclectic mix of influences such as Taj Mahal, Ry Cooder, Little Feat, Bill Monroe, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, Norman Blake and Darrell Scott, Eddy’s music fuses a brand of songwriting/playing that is uniquely his own. Growing up in Southeastern Kentucky created a musically rich experience. Now living and playing in Chicago is broadening his horizons musically and culturally.

Eddy has played, recorded and toured with many bands over the years from speak-easies to festival stages all over the country and on a few occasions internationally. Groups have included The Betweeners, Boxwine Prophets, Soapbox, Mitch Barrett, a debut solo record released in 2013 and a second solo album released in 2017. In some combination he has opened for such performers as Leon Russell, Old Crow Medicine Show, Alejandro Escovedo, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Tim O’Brian, Robert Lockwood Jr, and many others.
